Ms. Firgens cut her first song called "Wake Me" for the feature "They Came from Outer Space". Firgens lends an ethereal breathiness to this rock ballad giving it a bittersweet edge. Mackenzie Firgens has signed with top talent agency Abrams Artists Agency for professional representation.
The Theatrical Debut of the sexy, dangerous drama "Revolution Summer" starring Firgens will open on Friday Aug. 31st at The Roxie in San Francisco. Directed with a nod to the French New Wave, the feature also screens at the Montreal World Film Festival & Chicago Underground Film Festival. The film includes Lauren Fox (Pi, Noon Blue Apples), and an original score by Jonathan Richman.
The dark comedy “The Pink Conspiracy” with Firgens playing opposite Mercedes McNab (Angel) and Sarah Thompson (7th Heaven) received Best Comedy Award at the Long Beach Intl. Film Festival. The film has an all star cast of James Russo (Donnie Brasco), Chad Evertt (Mulholland Dr.), and Tiny Lister (The Fifth Element).
"Revolution Summer" staring Firgens will have its World Premiere at the 50th Anniversary of the San Francisco International Film Festival on Thu, May 3rd at 9:15pm Sundance Kabuki Cinemas.
Firgens portrays Hope a young woman lost and adrift in the city who holds onto her belief of bringing love and affection to despair, even as she is deceived or abandoned. The film also stars Lauren Fox (Pi, Noon Blue Apples), and features an original score by Jonathan Richman (The Modern Lovers, There’s Something About Mary).

The release of "The Hamiltons" on March 27th marks Mackenzie Firgens 5th feature film available on DVD. The thriller was part of Lions Gate's popular nationwide 8 Films To Die For- After Dark Horrorfest. The edgy series debuted #10 at the Box Office its opening week.

Lions Gate Films has picked up the Award Winning feature "The Hamiltons" for distribution which stars Firgens and Brittany Daniel (Club Dread, Joe Dirt).
In this feature Firgens plays the sexy gothic sister Darlene in an average american family that just happen to be serial killers. The feature won the Golden Vision Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Theatrical release dates will be announced soon.

Chris Columbus' movie adaption of the Tony and Pulitzer Prize
winning musical "RENT" opens in theaters nationwide Nov 23 with Mackenzie originating the role of
April the red headed ex-girlfriend of Roger Adam Pascal.
In this key role Firgens plays a rocker chick who falls in love with
the pretty boy front man Roger. Their relationship blossoms and in time
the lifestyle of sex, drugs, and rock and roll catches up to them.
Addicted to heroin and diagnosed with AIDS Firgens character cannot
take the strain of the disease and eventually ends her life. Roger
laments about their relationship and April's death in the ballad "One Song Glory" and finally goes on to date Mimi Rosario Dawson. Firgens joins an all star cast including Taye Diggs (Kevin Hill),
Jesse L. Martin (Law and Order) and Tony Award winner Idina Menzel.

The award winning feature "Quality of Life" announces its Worldwide Theatrical Run starting on October 12, 2005 at the United Artists Galaxy Theatre
at Sutter and Van Ness in San Francisco. In this film Mackenzie stars as a young struggling mother set against the backdrop of the graffiti scene. "Quality of Life" premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival, where
it was a hit with audiences and critics winning a coveted Special Mention Jury Award. The film ended its festival screenings winning Best Youth Film at the Stockholm Int'l Film Festival Jr.

Chris Columbus' (Harry Potter, Bicentennial Man) movie adaptation of the musical "Rent" begins production. Mackenzie will be originating the role of April, Roger's (Adam Pascal (School of Rock)) lost love, and now dead girlfriend. This role is a pivotal change from the Broadway version, because April was only mentioned in the play. Mackenzie will be breathing life into a completely new character in this classic musical. Nearly all of the original cast are reprising their roles, with the exception of the role of Mimi now being played by Rosario Dawson (Alexander, The Rundown), and Joanne which is being filled by Tracie Thomas (Brother to Brother).
Principle photography begins for "Broken Arrows", with Mackenzie starring opposite Peter Quartaroli (The Scorpion King, Bandits), and Lori Petty (Tank Girl, Point Break). In this feature about a hitman-turned reluctant hero Mackenzie plays Abby, an orphaned teenager who pins her hopes on having a normal family on the most unlikely of fathers. After running from one foster home to another, Abby encounters Reese (Quartaroli) who befriends her, eventually allowing her move into his home. In spite of his handler's (Petty) misgivings about her, Abby's quirky, needy, and scrappy influence on Reese helps him to make the big promotion upstairs he's been waiting for.

The almost ordinary American family "the Hamiltons", has just suffered the sudden death of both parents. The remaining family of four siblings struggle to adjust to the now headless household. Mackenzie plays fraternal-twin, goth-obsessed and darkly sociopathic Darlene, in this ensemble feature. As the deadly smart, and ruthlessly manipulative Darlene, Mackenzie takes a turn down a darker and more nuanced performance that requires the cool maturity that often accompanies any practiced serial killer.

Sci-fi feature "Carrier" follows a cast of characters who's lives become intertwined while visiting the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Hornet. The Hornet's role in the Apollo 11 mission adds a mystery/science fiction element to this tale. Mackenzie plays a desperately insecure teenage Suzie who must confront her lack of relationship with her parents while undergoing the rites of becoming a woman.
Mackenzie booked the feature "Sweet Insanity" to be shot by Kenn Ferro , from the features "House of Sand and Fog " and "40 Days and 40 Nights ". In this thriller ensemble piece Mackenzie plays Christina a rebellious, cynical goth girl. The role is part of clever plot twist that allows Mackenzie to explore a dark and complex character.
Mackenzie has been selected by David Salmeron to help deliver his photo-storyboard/voiceover pitch. She will be portraying Princess Nerysta for the concept photography in the feature "Guardians" and working as the voiceover talent that accompanies the entire pitch.
"Life at Bay" wins a Special Jury Award at Arizona International Film Festival. The Feature "Quality of Life" is accepted into competition at the Seattle International Film Festival screenings are June 9th @ 4:30pm and June 11th @ 7pm.
Mackenzie booked a major role in an industrial for Janssen Pharmaceutica.

The Feature "Quality of Life" has been accepted to the Berlin International Film Festival which runs Feb 5-15 2004; and Cinequst Film Festival which runs March 3-24 2004.
The film "Looking Glass" wraps, featuring Mackenzie as the lead Celia, a teenage girl with the impish charm of the Cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland. Mackenzie also completes a print ad which will run in Las Vegas for a new Sony Camcorder.
Mackenzie booked a principal role in an episode of FOX's TV show America's Most Wanted. She plays Kiara the drug addict girlfriend and accomplice of Dino. Watch for the episode "Dino and Troy Smith" airing on Saturday November 15th at 9pm on Fox.
Mackenzie wraps the feature film "Quality of Life". This urban story following the divergent paths of two talented graffiti artists, features Mackenzie as a young single mother, struggling to pull her life together while saving the man who has become a father to her son. As the leading female role Mackenzie brings a paradoxical strength and fragility to the role of a mother trying to raise a family at the edge of poverty and violence.
Mackenzie wraps the film "Life at Bay", shot in the San Francisco Bay Area. The story is about a girl's struggle to become a woman set against the backdrop of her father's terminal illness. Lives are put on hold as a father prepares to die, a daughter tries to bloom, and a family finds meaning in their time together.
